Leaderfoot Crossing

The Leaderfoot Viaduct in the Scottish Borders was built in Victorian times to take trains over the River Tweed.

I just love the splendour, the shadows and the reflections, although now, of course, it stands as a monument to engineering achievement rather than a working viaduct. I have painted this in my signature colours, and it took a long time to complete on account of the tricky perspective.

This is one of my all-time favourites.

The painting is acrylic on canvas and is currently unframed.
